A brilliant day in Bangkok. Certainly fun going to a wedding at Swissotel in the city centre. The hotel is big enough to have its own park, a beautiful garden with ancient trees and a small lake. The wedding took place on a lawn next to a monkey flower tree (yes, this type of tree really does exist) in a setting that was very secluded – even though there were big residential blocks not far away.
The couple invited just a few of their closest friends and family to the actual wedding, but then went on to have an amazingly large reception – with almost 500 guests, who had come from as far away as Australia. Naturally whole teams had to work together for this massive day to come together…and they certainly succeeded.
The couple and I had prepared everything well beforehand via email and Skype and then the groom requested some alterations just before the wedding itself – but no problem at all to do this. The day was a fun-packed one and the hotel staff were amazingly good at arranging everything for so many people.
